The original had a rotating joystick so you could fire in any direction whilst moving. That was a major wow factor at the time because it was probably the first game of this type to have that. Later on, I vaguely remember some arcades rehousing the game with a standard 8 way stick which basically made it impossible to play. I never lasted more than a couple of minutes anyway.

I played this game in a shop named "Bush" in shimla in the 90s.

For some reason I like the NES version better.

i know is 100% subjective, but most of this high-fps high-res remakes of old arcade looks cheap, like a old cell phone game or flash game. Not saying is a bad work, again, is subjectivity.

Very similar to Ikari Warriors. I played that on Amatrad CPC464. Was a cool game

The slowdown was much worse in DD1!

One thing I didn't like about old technos beat em ups is how unusable normal attacks are. You always get hit in the middle of your "combos"

This game brings a lot of memories. They had this at the local pizzeria (common in Sweden at the time) - our crew used to gather there and play when we were kids 🥲

I use to enjoy my cousin Rooster who took me to the corner store in Detroit and let me watch him play the Arcade Game in 1988 when I was 5 years old.🏬 Fun times!❤️
